The situation
Shopify's own admin answers 'what happened to this order'. It does not answer 'how is the business doing this week' without exporting spreadsheets by hand.
What we built
One panel that pulls orders across stores and puts them next to revenue, not just status
Analytics served from BigQuery instead of re-reading operational records — the aggregate query costs cents, the naive version costs hundreds
PostHog wired into the dashboard itself, so we can see which screens the team actually uses
Excel export for the parts of accounting that will never leave spreadsheets
Email + password auth with signed sessions, handed over to the client as their own deployment
Where it stands
Live in production and handed over to the client's own environment.
