Photograph a book cover, hear the book.
The situation
Audiobooks exist for the catalogue somebody else licensed. The PDF on your desktop, the article you saved, the book on your shelf that was never recorded — none of that is listenable.
What we built
- Three ways in: snap a cover, import a PDF, or paste a link — and hear the author's own words, nothing rewritten
- Playback starts on the first paragraph while the rest is still being synthesised — no waiting on the whole book
- Word-level highlighting driven by character-level alignment from ElevenLabs, so the text tracks the voice exactly
- Paragraph-sized segments, so seeking lands somewhere meaningful
